At the Fredericksburg Church of Christ, we recognize the importance of inspiring the next generation for Jesus Christ. Our goal is to equip each youth member to live out the Christian lifestyle through Bible classes, devotionals, and acts of service. Passing this faith to children and youth is a great responsibility. We are advocates for our youth, helping them to be critical thinkers and to reach their own generation and world around them by:
Studying the truths of God’s word to gain knowledge and understanding.
Outfitting students with the base to overcome temptations.
Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Encouraging our youth to live a life of active service.
Planting seeds of discipleship to grow great Christians.
Camping trips and outings bring the youth together to, not only learn spiritual things, but also life skills and learning how to be responsible for yourself and relate to others by using teamwork. Camp Bandina in the Texas Hill Country is a favorite site. Other trips and outings are arranged during the year.

Youth Devotionals
Done on an informal, ongoing basis, these devotionals are normally held at a member’s house and involve informal get-together where scriptural topics are discussed during the devotional. Afterward, the kids socialize and hear about what is going on with the group and just have a good time with hay rides, etc.

Church-related community service work
Many of the young people get together to assist those in need of some work that may have to be done that they are not able to perform. This may involve doing landscape work for an elderly person, going shopping for a shut-in or visiting those in hospitals and nursing homes. Some also sing in song services at local nursing homes.
Vacation Bible School
Done each year during summer vacation, this is a grand affair with set building, performing in numerous skits, all in costume, games and other activities. There have been entire villages built with the things used in Biblical times to enhance the lessons being taught. It is a three-day activity that most of the church gets involved in setting up and assisting in its activities.
Sunday school is a weekly session where the kids are divided up by grades and taught Bible related subjects in keeping with the age group. There are held at the church in classrooms set aside for that purpose.
